Click Here to Download PDFThe Mayor Datwyler called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2022. He noted the meeting this evening was work meeting with the only item on the agenda was a discussion concerning implementing impact fees for the city.
Those in attendance were: Councilman D Burke, Councilman Orme, Councilwoman King, Councilman Wilder, Councilman R. Burke, Councilwoman Harrison
Also present: Mitch Bradley, Ione Hansen, Brent Tolman
The mayor asked if the representatives from Horrocks Engineering would step forward and introduce themselves: Clint Boyle, Kevin Croshaw and Drew Geiger were introduced.
Clint Boyle began the discussion with a power point presentation explaining the process involved in implementing impact fees. The process involves three steps:
- Master Plan – Identify and define what is to be included
- Create a capital facility plan – identify needs where improvement need to be made
- Impact Analysis – Based on the capital facility plan determine what the impact would be that is caused by additional growth.
The representative’s presented different information regarding: sewer, water, transportation, parks and police.
After discussion the mayor suggested a second work meeting for Thursday June 2, 2022 at 6:00pm to further discuss the next step in implementing impact fees. All in agreement
The mayor thanked Horrocks and adjourned the meeting at 8:30pm.
